Chaim Gross (1904–1991) was a renowned American sculptor known for his expressive and dynamic works in wood, bronze, and stone. Born in Austria-Hungary, Gross emigrated to the United States in 1921, where he studied at the National Academy of Design and the Art Students League of New York. His sculptures often featured human figures, capturing movement and emotion with fluid, organic forms. Gross was deeply influenced by his Jewish heritage, and many of his works reflect themes of community, struggle, and resilience. His art is celebrated for its technical skill and emotional depth, with pieces displayed in major museums and collections around the world.
