Cedric Dawe (1906-1996) was a British art director celebrated for his meticulous and atmospheric set designs in over sixty films, many produced at the ABPC studios. Born in London, he began his career in scenic design and stagecraft before transitioning to film, contributing to works like the 1947 noir Temptation Harbour, and later to television shows such as The Saint. Dawe also created personal artworks—pastels and mixed-media pieces—capturing architecture and quiet village streets. His delicate, observational style reflected his lifelong attention to spatial composition and mood across both his cinematic and fine art careers.
