Carole Perry (Born 1948) American, Art Glass Tapestry Sculptural Bowl. Light purple strips surrounded by tightly compressed rainbows of colored glass canes make up the stunning body of this work.

Carole Perry was born in Oregon in 1948, and was working in a career in computer systems before deciding to pursue her love of art glass full-time in her early 30s. Inspired by Dale Chihuly, she opened Laughing Glass Studio in Cave Creek, Arizona in the late 1980s, and has since become world-famous for her unique approach, crafting candy-colored works of art known for their woven tapestry style composition, using more than 9,000 glass threads in each sculpture to create a distinctive tactile component. Her work is found in public, private, and corporate collections around the country.
