C.B. Follet (B 1936) American, Mixed Media & Acrylic. Signed on back and dated 1998. Inscription and title on back: "Snips, and Snails, and Puppy Dog Tails." Depicts bundled up indigenous child in an abstract landscape.

C.B. Follet was born in New York City in 1936 and raised in Darien, Connecticut. She was the creator and owner of Peaceable Kingdom, manufacturing and distributing sculpted animal ceramic jewelry, from 1973 to 1994. After moving to Sausalito, California she began publishing books of poetry, opening Arctos Publishing Company in 1993. She won the 2001 National Poetry Book Award for “The Turning of the Light,” as well as the New Letters Prize and the Anne Stanford Prize, and became the official Poet Laureate of Marin County, California in 2010.
