Antique Chinese Wedding Trunk. The trunk is made of wood with a reddish-brown finish. It has a rectangular shape with a flat top and stands on short legs. A circular metal plate with a keyhole is located on the top surface.

Chinese wedding trunks, lacquered in deep reds and adorned with golden phoenixes, dragons, or the double happiness symbol (囍), are more than storage—they are heirlooms of union and hope.
