Andres Escartin (B 1938) Spanish, Oil on Canvas. Depicting a landscape with white buildings in the foreground, and a taller brown one in the background. Original painting. Titled "Landscape". Information on the back from Merrill Chase Galleries. Andres Escartin is known for painting. He was born in Barcelona, Spain in 1938. In his studies at the High School of Fine Arts, he excelled in all his exams, exhibited three times and won several first prize awards. In 1964 he received his diploma of Professor of Art. He exhibited in Leon, Spain in 1960, a solo exhibition, and again in 1964 in Leon, Barcelona, and Madrid in group exhibitions. In 1966 he exhibited again in Madrid, Barcelona, Oviedo, Malaga, Cordoba and Granada, He was awarded the Rodriguez Acosta Foundation Prize in Granada. In the same year he joined the Contemporary Artists Association and exhibited exclusively with this group.
