Alois Heinrich Priechenfried (1867-1953) Oil/Panel. Known for his religious portraits this appears to be of a cardinal in a red robe. This Original painting is framed within a timely gilt frame.
He was born June 25, 1867 in Vienna, parish Gumpendorf, and died March 24, 1953 in Vienna. He was an Austrian portrait painter of naturalism and also was trained as a gilder. In his time, he received high recognition for his portraits of rabbis.
