Louis Icart (1888–1950) was a French artist celebrated for his Art Deco etchings depicting elegant women, fashionable Parisian scenes, and sensual themes. His distinctive style combined fluid lines, soft colors, and a touch of eroticism, making his work highly sought after in the early 20th century. Icart gained international recognition during the 1920s and 1930s, particularly in the United States, where his prints were widely collected. Despite a decline in popularity after World War II, his work remains iconic in the Art Deco movement and continues to be valued by collectors today.
