The Ejagham (or Ekoi) are a Bantu-speaking ethnic group spanning southeastern Nigeria and southwest Cameroon, recognized for their rich cultural heritage, including the Nsibidi script, leather-covered headdresses, and ancestral traditions. Historically united, they are known for secret societies and farming, with a cultural identity bridging the international border. They are one of a handful of African cultures that produce helmet masks, rather than crest masks or face masks, as well as producing two-faced designs that symbolize omniscience, life and death, male and female, the duality of evil and good, and the ability to overcome obstacles only by seeing solutions from multiple angles.
