Hand painted in exquisite detail.

Limoges porcelain refers to hard-paste porcelain made in and around Limoges, France, beginning in the late 18th century after the discovery of local kaolin. The first factory was founded in 1771 and later came under royal patronage, though production declined during the French Revolution. By the 1830s, Limoges had surpassed Paris as France’s main porcelain center, with notable factories including Bernardaud, Haviland & Co., and Royal Limoges. Today, Limoges remains the leading hub of French porcelain, producing over half of the nation’s output.
