(2) Montblanc Ballpoint Pens and (1) Ballpoint Pen Refill. The pens are in one case together, though they likely each had their own at one time, rather than being a set. The longer one is a Montblanc Meisterstück Platinum Line Classique ballpoint pen in black precious resin. The shorter one is a Montblanc Boheme black resin ballpoint pen with gold-plated trim. The color of the medium refill is Pacific Blue. Case marked on the inside.

Montblanc is a German manufacturer and distributor of luxury goods, which was founded in Berlin in 1906 by Alfred Nehemias and August Eberstein before a quick take over by three other owners and a move to Hamburg as the company restructured frequently throughout the tumultuous 1900s and 1910s. The company name was ultimately taken from their most successful pen, the Montblanc (named after the highest mountain in the Alps), which debuted in 1910, and although the company is most known for its luxury pens it also designs and distributes bags, perfumes, eyewear, small leather goods, and watches. Alfred Dunhill Ltd. acquired Montblanc in 1977, at which time lower-priced pens were permanently dropped from their line and the focus became solely on luxury goods. Since 1993 Montblanc has been part of the Swiss Richemont group, continuing to produce what are considered to be the best fountain pens in the world and some of the ultimate status symbols.
