Size: 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 x 7 in. 

A Rebecca Jug is a type of large, ornate water jug, often made of pottery or ceramic, featuring a tall, curved handle and a spouted lip. It is named after the biblical story of Rebecca (or Rebekah) at the well, where she offered water to Abraham’s servant and his camels. This association with water and hospitality made the design popular in the 18th and 19th centuries, especially in English and American ceramics. Rebecca Jugs were commonly decorated with intricate relief patterns, floral motifs, or classical scenes, and they were both functional and decorative household items.
