The Camusso silver company was founded in 1933 in Lima, Peru, by Italian silversmith Carlo Mario Camusso Grasso. After recovering from an illness in Huacho and gaining inspiration from local artisans, Camusso’s workshop swiftly became the most sought after silver maker in Peru. Following his retirement in 1957, the company was led by his sons-in-law, who expanded operations to include international exports. A third generation took the helm in the 1990s and diversified the brand to meet changing market demands, expanding into jewelry and accessories, creating the CMC brand and opening new retail stores. Today, the company operates seven stores in Peru and exports its gold and silverware, jewelry, and accessories to 22 countries worldwide.
