1/72 Model of the Great Harry by Sergal. Model ship hand built from a kit originally manufactured by Mentua/Sergal of the man-o-war Great Harry. In glass display case.

The Great Harry, also known as Henry Grace à Dieu, was a massive Tudor warship commissioned by King Henry VIII in 1514. As one of the largest and most heavily armed vessels of its time, it featured multiple gun decks and towering castles, embodying the transition from medieval naval design to the more modern warship. Built primarily for defense against France, it served as the flagship of the English fleet and was lavishly decorated, symbolizing England’s naval ambition. The Great Harry saw action in various conflicts but was eventually destroyed by fire at Woolwich in 1553.
