Woodie Long (1942–2009) American, Acrylic on Paper Folk Art. Outsider art composition by Floridian folk artist Woodie Long, depicting a large family in a bright red pickup truck. Signed lower right. Framed.

Woodie Long (1942–2009) was a self-taught American folk artist known for his lively, narrative paintings depicting scenes of rural Southern life. Born in Plant City, Florida, he spent much of his life as a house painter before discovering his artistic talent in his 40s. Using bright colors and expressive brushwork, Long captured memories of his childhood, often portraying figures engaged in everyday activities with a sense of joy and nostalgia. His work gained recognition in the outsider art community, and his paintings have been exhibited in galleries and folk art collections across the United States.
