Original box marked with the William Henry logo inside and out, with a leather bed for the knife to rest on.

Founded in Wilsonville, Oregon in 1997 as William Henry Knives by Michael Henry Honack and Matthew William Conable, Conable took over as sole owner five years later. Conable, a custom knifemaker who wanted to incorporate more modern machinery into his process, also began incorporating rarer minerals and embellishment techniques, making unique pieces in limited quantities to appeal to discerning clientele. Today the company continues to produce highly-sought in-house jewelry and knives, with a worldwide network of Damascus steel master smiths, hand engravers, Balinese silversmiths, Indian Koftgari artists, Japanese Maki-e artists, and many more bringing their concepts to life.
