Landscape oil on board painting by William Adam. It is signed in the lower left and there is a plaque in the lower middle. It is titled "The View of Monterey" ca 1920. Lovely landscape with a walkway full of flowers to the water on a beautiful sunny day. Trained in Glasgow, Scotland and in Paris, France, William Adam worked as an artist and teacher in Glasgow and Boston before moving to Wichita to become Director of the Art School and Professor of Drawing, Painting and Decorative Arts at Fairmount College in Wichita in 1895.
