Wedgwood Fairyland Lustre Porcelain Octagonal Bowl. Marked on underside. 

The bowl features a vibrant, iridescent glaze, with a rich palette of colors and gilded details. The interior depicts a fantastical scene with a complex landscape. The sides of the interior show a vivid mural-like pattern with large black pillars, an arched structure with a grid pattern, and a landscape with castles and distant bridges. Figures of mythical creatures appear to be sitting on or near the pillars. The base of the bowl's interior is a deep purple-blue with a central well that has a different pattern, possibly of fish or other animals.

The exterior of the bowl is also elaborately decorated with a different, but complementary, pattern. It has a predominantly orange-pink ground with a detailed, repeating design of what appear to be fantastical stylized plants or foliage in shades of green, purple, and gold. In the lower sections of the exterior, small mythical creatures are visible.

Wedgwood, an English fine china manufacturer founded in 1759, is historically renowned for its earthenware and the distinctive, unglazed Jasperware, particularly in the iconic "Wedgwood blue." The company's production expanded to include whimsical designs like the Fairyland Lustre range, created by Daisy Makeig-Jones between 1915 and 1930. After a long history of expansion and mergers, including forming Waterford Wedgwood in 1987, the company was ultimately acquired by the Finnish consumer goods company Fiskars in 2015, under which it continues to produce its luxury lines.
