W.E. Porter Signed and Dated (2) Art Glass Vases and (3) Paperweights. Some pieces are iridescent, all are highly detailed, and one has a sunk center slot to hold a pen or pencil. Signatures on underside or along bottom edge, and all dates fall within the 1980s. 

Largest Size: 3 x 3 x 4 in. 

W.E. Porter is believed to have been a designer/chemist at the Heisey Glass Company in Newark, Ohio for a large part of his career. Having a wealth of experience in glass-making, Porter began designing his own line of  unique hand-blown paperweights in the 1960s up through the late 90s. Although there are many paperweights attributed to him, information on his life is unfortunately slim.
