Vintage Dunhaven Made in West Germany Quartz Anniversary Clock with Glass Dome. The classic design, made in durable modern materials while emulating older ornate styles, has Roman numerals on the face along with curving etched designs and the words "Dunhaven," "Quartz," and "West Germany." The movement above has a battery pack, along with another in the underside of the piece which makes a series of gold hues balls spin around and around.

Dunhaven clocks are a popular line of timepieces manufactured primarily in West Germany and exported globally to wholesalers, first appearing in the mid 20th Century and celebrated for combining traditional European craftsmanship with accessible mechanical and later quartz technologies. Dunhaven emerged as a brand during a post-World War II period when European clockmaking, particularly in the Black Forest region of Germany, experienced a massive revival. The brand successfully transitioned to battery-operated quartz movements for more accurate, maintenance-free timekeeping, but their styles, often capitalizing on nostalgia, eventually fell out of favor and the brand ceased to exist in the 1990s. Today many of their more complex and popular pieces, like domed moving mantel clocks and regulators, are collected around the world.
