Louis Vuitton Malletier, commonly known as Louis Vuitton, is a French luxury fashion house and company founded in 1854 on the Rue Neuve des Capucines in Paris, France by designer Louis Vuitton. Known for pioneering the squared-off stackable trunk, the company soon expanded to have stores in England and the United States. Expanding exponentially in the 20th Century to produce shoes, perfumes, watches, jewelry, accessories, sunglasses and even books, it is their handbags that are the most sought-after items. The label’s LV monogram appears on most of its products, and it sells products through standalone boutiques, high-end department stores, and through the e-commerce section of its website. This piece is from the 1980s, and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
