Two Antique Oil on Canvas Framed Landscapes. 

Oil on Canvas Landscape Circa 1850-1860. American School, Midwest.  A serene river landscape with rolling hills and lush greenery. A winding river flows through the scene, passing over rocks and cascading into a small waterfall. Trees line the riverbanks, and a small building is visible on the hillside. A figure, possibly a dog, can be seen near the water's edge. The sky is partly cloudy. 

Another river landscape, featuring a calmer river and a more expansive view. The river meanders through a valley, surrounded by mountains and forests. The water is still, and there are a few rocks scattered along the riverbed. The sky is overcast, creating a muted atmosphere.

Both paintings capture the beauty of nature, showcasing peaceful and idyllic landscapes. The use of color and light creates a sense of depth and atmosphere in each scene.

Condition: Signs of repair on verso. Minor holes and paint loss throughout.  Frames missing patches of plaster decoration.
