This book is titled “Towns of New England And Old England Ireland and Scotland, Part I, Connecting Links between Cities and
Towns of New England and Those of the Same Name in England, Ireland and Scotland Containing Narratives, Descriptions, and Many Views, some done from Old Prints, Also much Matter pertaining to The Founders and settlers of New England and to their Memorials on both sides of the Atlantic, Printed to Commemorate The Tercentenary of The Landing of the Pilgrims, Issued By The State Street Trust Company, Boston, Massachusetts in 1920, a first edition in a fine binding. The book was published to commemorate the tercentenary of the landing of the Pilgrims - tercentenary means the 300th anniversary of a special event- and is 3/4 bound, with five raised bands, gilt lettering and gilt tooling with nautical devices on the
spine, marbled endpapers, a vignette of Boston Harbor on the frontispiece, with maps, it is 225 pages long, with errata for Part I, and the top edge is gilt.
The book is 8vo. and measures and is in very good condition. The binding is tight and the pages and text are clean, and a great book for someone with Irish or English roots and has relatives in the New England area.
