Tomas Hrivnac was born on November 1, 1959, in Prague. He studied at Secondary School of Applied Art in Prague (1975-1979). He focuses on dry point or aquarelle techniques, primarily depicting women in poetic surroundings. His titles refer to moments, events, and situations they are in, and even specific gestures he captures (For the Last Time, To Jink, Sideways, Except/Askew, etc.). His first major exhibition in the USA was in 2005. He currently resides in Prague, working as a freelance artist, with numerous exhibitions throughout the Balkans.
