Terry Redlin (1937–2016) was an American wildlife artist renowned for his nostalgic paintings of rural life, outdoor landscapes, and North American wildlife. Born in Watertown, South Dakota, he developed a passion for nature at an early age, later studying art before working as a commercial illustrator and eventually becoming one of the nation's best-known wildlife painters. His detailed scenes, often depicting glowing sunsets, quiet country settings, and abundant wildlife, resonated with collectors and earned him numerous honors, including recognition as America's most popular wildlife artist during the 1990s. Today, Redlin's artwork remains widely collected and is celebrated for capturing the beauty, tranquility, and traditions of the American countryside.
