20th C. Romanian Folk Orthodox Icon made in Byzantine Style of Iconography, depicting St. Archbishop Vasily. The artistic culture of Wallachia and Moldavia was oriented towards the traditions of Byzantium and the Balkan Countries, and was also associated with Western Russian lands.
Mid 20th Century, stamped Bucurest on back.
