Scott Medlock was born in Los Angeles, California on November 4th, 1968, and achieved international success as an artist capturing athletes on and off the field, widely recognized for his brilliantly colored, dynamic paintings depicting iconic figures and momentous occasions across many professional sports. He graduated from Pasadena’s ArtCenter College of Design and began receiving commissions by the NFL, MLB, and PGA, known particularly for his realistic golf portraits of major legends such as Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, and Tiger Woods. In addition to his sports fine art, Medlock was a philanthropist who co-founded a long-running annual celebrity golf tournament and concert to raise millions for pediatric cancer research at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Tragically, he lost his own battle with cancer on November 10th, 2021, at the age of 53, leaving behind a remarkable body of work and inspiring other artists and athletes to contribute to the causes he championed.
