Scarce Japanese Burl Root Carved Sculpture. Exceptional size and form, magnificently embodying the wabi-sabi philosophy. Hollow interior, could be use for flowers or other storage.

Wabi-sabi is a Japanese aesthetic philosophy that finds beauty in imperfection, impermanence, and incompleteness. It embraces the natural cycle of growth and decay, valuing modest, weathered, and unique qualities over artificial perfection. The term combines two ideas: "wabi," relating to humility, simplicity, and being in tune with nature, and "sabi," relating to the beauty that comes with age and wear.
