Artist Biography:
Sam English Sr. is a renowned Native American painter known for his vibrant and evocative works that celebrate Indigenous culture and spirituality. Born in 1942 on the Turtle Mountain Reservation in North Dakota, English belongs to the Chippewa tribe. His artistic journey began in the 1960s, and he quickly gained recognition for his distinctive style characterized by bold colors, dynamic compositions, and profound symbolism.
