This etching is a painterly treatment of tree forms realized through a maze of sensitively wrought lines and rich patterns enhanced by the subtle blend of etching and aquatint. An awe-inspiring quiet is caught in the lingering autumn light.
Rudy Pozzatti was born in Telluride, Colorado. He received his Master of Fine Arts from the University of Colorado in 1950. A Fullbright Fellowship in 1952 enabled him to study and work in Italy. He is Assistant Professor, Art Dept., Indiana University. His work is represented in many public and private collections.
