Twelfth Night, a comedy by William Shakespeare, follows the romantic misadventures of Viola, who is shipwrecked and disguises herself as a man, Cesario, to serve Duke Orsino. Orsino loves Lady Olivia, but Olivia falls for Cesario, unaware of Viola’s true identity. Meanwhile, Viola secretly loves Orsino. The subplot involves Olivia’s drunken uncle, Sir Toby, and his prank on the pompous steward Malvolio, leading to comedic chaos. When Viola’s presumed-dead twin brother, Sebastian, arrives, mistaken identities result in confusion before all is resolved with marriages and revelations.
