Circa 1980. "Feather" lamp. This vintage desk lamp features a simple but striking profile, making this a well sought after "Robert Sonneman Design". The thin support column and heavy asymmetrical cylinder base adjusts with complete vertical and 360 degree horizontal movement. Separate on/off switch and high/low switches on the base allow you to customize light levels to your needs. This light features a satin black finish.

Sonneman has been at the forefront of modern design for five decades, and his award-winning designs have become classics of the Modern era. Inspired by modern architecture, applying the functionalist discipline of Bauhaus, Sonneman introduced a modernist aesthetic to lighting in the mid 1960s.
George Kovacs has often been called "the father of modern American lighting", and his company has been bringing innovative and poetic products to market for nearly 50 years. Kovacs' life in lighting began after he graduated from college in 1949 and found employment in a lamp store.
