Robert "Shoofly" Shufelt (Born 1935) American, "The Labor Source" Lithograph. Depicts a group of horses in a corral in photorealistic detail, as well as a more traditional cartoon of many cowboys on horseback below it. Inbetween the images it is signed in pencil on the right, numbered 191/220 in pencil on the left, and titled in print in the middle. The title, artist, and date of 1996 with a "TM" are printed very small and vertically top left of the photorealistic image.

Robert “Shoofly” Shufelt was born on February 16th, 1935 in Champaign, Illinois and attended art school as a youth before earning his degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago Lake Forest College, a division of the University of Illinois. He worked in illustration for over a decade before moving to a cattle ranch near Wickenburg, Arizona in the 1970s where he found his calling, gaining international acclaim for his depictions of the modern-day cowboy and ranch lifestyle in the Southwest, often in stunning photo-realistic detail using solely pencil graphite. In 1991 he moved to New Mexico and began publishing his work in small editions of stone, offset, or digital prints. In 2005 he was given the Great American Cowboy Award, as well as named Artist of the Year by the state of New Mexico in 2007, and in 2014 he was awarded the New Mexico Governor’s Awards for Excellence in the Arts alongside author George R. R. Martin. Shufelt's artwork has been represented in galleries in New Mexico, Arizona, and Wyoming, and exhibited in museums across the United States including the Desert Caballeros Western Museum, the Tucson Art Museum, the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, the New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum, and the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum.
