Rick Burger is an American watercolor artist celebrated for his realistic and impressionistic depictions of nautical scenes and landscapes. A sailor himself, Burger draws inspiration from maritime life, frequently painting settings inspired by locations such as Charlevoix and Harbor Springs. His works, created using transparent watercolor and opaque gouache, aim to capture the essence of his subjects with a focus on realism. Burger has been a consistent presence at art festivals, including the Art & Apples Festival in Rochester, Michigan, where he has exhibited for about 30 years. His limited edition prints, such as "Sailing" and "Racing," have been well-received by collectors and art enthusiasts alike.
