This is a large unsigned oil on canvas by Richard Trumbull entitled "Spanish Hill Town". Trumbull is new to the art scene. He was a clinical psychologist-turned- painter whose works have been exhibited in California and Mexico. His paintings have been featured on poster art for the San Miguel Jazz and Blues Festival, among others. This painting was acquired by the consignor from the artist in 2014. The overall size is 50 x 50 in. wide and the sight size is 48 x 48 in. wide.
The paintings of Richard Trumbull have been exhibited in Mexico and California in a wide variety of exhibitions and solo shows and are in private collections from Berlin to Mexico City. He is one of the featured artists in the 2010 publication, “Art in San Miguel” and the 2016 publication of “Compendio de Creadores Mexicanos, Tomo II”.
