Aaron (April 23, 1949 – December 8, 2016) was an American music and entertainment photographer celebrated for capturing some of the most iconic images of rock ’n’ roll history over a career spanning more than three decades. Best known for shooting approximately 4,000 musical artists, Aaron’s work appeared on hundreds of album covers—including Frampton Comes Alive!—and in over 45,000 magazines, newspapers and books worldwide; he also shot the first rock-and-roll Time magazine cover featuring Paul McCartney and Wings and documented major acts like David Bowie, Freddie Mercury, Bob Marley and Led Zeppelin. Recognized by Modern Photography as one of the “10 Best Rock Photographers” in the world, Aaron combined on-stage energy with intimate portraiture and contributed still photography to films, television and publicity, earning an honorary master’s degree from the Brooks Institute of Photography in 2008.
