Artist Biography (CaliforniaWatercolor.com) Rex Elson Brandt American, 1914-2000) was based in California and known for landscapes, marine easel painting, illustration, and murals. He studied art at the Chounard Art Institute and finished his studies at the University of California Berkley. When he returned from his studies he was accepted into a growing group of California watercolor artists, which eventually bring him international attention.
