"Red Lips Kiss My Blues Away" Vintage Advertising Print. Framed print reproduction of the advertising poster. Framed.

"Red Lips, Kiss My Blues Away" is a 1927 Tin Pan Alley song composed by James V. Monaco and Pete Wendling, with lyrics by Alfred Bryan. The song humorously portrays a telephone operator who comforts male callers with her kisses, metaphorically dispelling their blues. First recorded by Sam Lanin and His Orchestra on March 11, 1927, it became a popular hit of its time, leading to numerous covers by artists such as Leo Reisman, Aileen Stanley, and Roy Acuff. The sheet music features a red-haired woman with bright red lipstick, reflecting the song's playful theme. Its catchy melody and lighthearted lyrics exemplify the jazz-influenced pop style of the late 1920s
