Artist Biography:
Rasa Saldaitis was born in Vilinius, Lithuania, and gained an appreciation for art in the 7th grade. By 8th grade, she was already attending art school, and graduated top of her class. She went on to attend the Vera Muchina Academy of Applies Arts, studing realistic drawing and painting. She graduated in 1989 with a Masters in Fine Arts. She opened her first art studio, Ugne, in 1991, and moed to the US in 1994, where she resides to this day. She now resides in Florida and predominantly produces life paintings inspired by the local flora and fauna.
