Post World War II Austrian Republic Decoration of Honour in Gold in Original Box. This is level 11 out of 15, an honor bestowed by the President to civilians or military personnel who have rendered exceptional services to the country. The writing on the cover indicates this was created by Anton Reitterer (1914-1993) the primary maker of the medals from the 1950s onward. 

Note: The name of the object is "Honour in Gold," meaning a tier as in "Gold, Silver, or Bronze," and likely gold gilt or even gold-filled, rather than solid. 

Size: 5 x 3 3/4 x 1 in.
