Titled 'Nu Asis', female nude, signed in copper plate: P. Renoir (in reverse). Comes with COA. Overall size: 15 3/8 x 13 1/4 in. Sight size: 7 5/8 x 5 1/4 in. Titled 'Nu Asis', color etching of a nude female, signed and dated in the plate1981, pencil-signed. Overall size: 17 1/2 x 14 5/8 in. Sight size: 7 3/4 x 5 5/8 in. Pierre Renoir was born in the Principality of Monaco in 1958. He showed a remarkable affinity and talent for the arts. At the age of 15, he was encouraged by a member of the family (Henri Baviere), and it was at this time that he exhibited his aptitude for drypoint engraving which was a technique utilized at the end of the 15th century. Renoir was greatly influenced by his great grandfather, Pierre Auguste Renoir. As a tribute of gratitude and respect, he created a series of engravings that was a direct influence of the artistic heritage and cultural ambiance his ancestry provided.
