This is a bright harbor scene by Pierre Bittar, a modern
French painter with an impressionist style. He is known for landscape and waterscape paintings, and he opened his own gallery in Michigan in 1992. His accolades include the Gold Medal at the Salon des Artiste Francais, Grand Palais in 1979 and the International Albrecht Durer Prize, and he continues to paint in France and Italy. The painting is signed in the lower right. The overall size is 36 x 44 in. wide and the sight size is 37 1/2 in. x 38 1/2 in. wide.
