Two vintage asymmetrical framed works by Carlo of Hollywood, depicting African women with ornate hairstyles and elongated necks. Gouache on heavy cardboard, each piece is faintly pencil-signed: Carlo.

Sight size each: 21 x 15 in.
An elusive artist from the 50’s to the late 1970’s, Carlo of Hollywood was said to be one of the set designers for the I Love Lucy television series. His subjects included landscapes, people and animals, and he popularized cool, asymmetrical picture frames like the ones here.
