Artist Biography:
Pablo Picasso (1881–1973) was a Spanish painter, sculptor, and one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. Born in Málaga, Spain, Picasso is best known as a co-founder of Cubism, a revolutionary art movement that deconstructed objects into geometric shapes and multiple perspectives. His vast body of work spans various styles and mediums, from painting and sculpture to ceramics and printmaking. Notable works include *Les Demoiselles d'Avignon* (1907) and *Guernica* (1937), the latter a powerful anti-war statement. Picasso's relentless innovation and creativity established him as a towering figure in modern art.
