Model of the Brigantine "Newsboy". The American ship Newsboy was built in Maine in 1854. It was employed on a triangular trade route taking New England goods to the Mediterranean, then carrying wine, oil and fruits to the West Indies and then back to Boston with a cargo of rum, sugar, and molasses.
