Milo Baughman for Thayer Coggin Cube Burled Wood End Table. Square shape, short feet low profile table. Burlwood is a complicated wood and this piece came from a forest in France. A Customer Relations Manager at Thayer Coggin has confirmed that this piece was designed by Milo Baughman for Thayer Coggin and is identifiable as style 3352, with an olive ash burl veneer in the honey finish, from the Environment 1970's catalogue.

Milo Baughman (1923-2003) is known for modern furniture design. He said that "Furniture that is too obviously designed is very interesting, but too much often belongs only in museums". Baughman’s distinguished body of work never interfered with functionality; instead, he struck an ideal modernist balance. He started his design career at the age of 13. After WWII, Baughman studied architectural design at the California Institute of Arts, and started Milo Baughman Designs Inc at the age of 24.
