Michel Guyon (b 1947) French, Oil on Canvas Titled "Petite Arlequin", oil on canvas, signed lower right. Michel Guyon showed artistic promise at an early age. He studied at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Nantes, France, in his early twenties, and became passionately interested in the theatre, creating costumes, posters, backdrops and set design for opera, and musical theatre. During the seventies, he worked as set designer for musical productions and well known operas such as Figaro, The Magic Flute, Don Giovanni, Carmen and work by Faust. He also was the designer for the popular Jean Marais Festival and the Angers Opera house. During these years Guyon painted, privately, his works on canvas. Size: 12 x 12 in. #157
