Mary Agnes Yerkes (1886–1989) was an American Impressionist painter, photographer, and artisan known for her plein-air landscapes of the American West and National Parks. Trained in Chicago, she exhibited widely in the 1910s before the Great Depression cut short her professional career, though she continued painting passionately for the rest of her life. Based in California, she traveled extensively with her family, camping and painting in places like Yosemite, Yellowstone, and the Grand Canyon. Living to the age of 103, Yerkes left behind a rich legacy of vibrant works that reflect her lifelong love of nature and art.
