Dr. Martie Geiger-Ho earned a Ph.D. in interdisciplinary fine arts and a M.F.A in ceramics and sculpture at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. Inspired by myths and surviving rituals about the craft and processes of pottery making and firing, her figurative ceramic deities, masks and installations are modern interpretations of the pottery legends. Prior to teaching at Universiti Brunei Darussalam, Dr. Geiger-Ho taught ceramics, sculpture and art history at University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, Hong Kong Baptist University and Mississippi University for Women. She has participated in numerous international and regional exhibitions including fourteen solo exhibitions. Her works have been exhibited and collected in the United States, Canada, Japan, Brunei Darussalam, Hong Kong and China. Her research articles have been published in several journals, including Ceramics Monthly, Ceramics Technical and The Studio Potter. Her book, The Worship of Kiln Gods: From the Temples of China to the Studios of Western Potters, was published by Outskirts Press, July 2012
Martie Geiger-Ho earned a Ph.D. in interdisciplinary fine arts and an M.F.A. in ceramics and sculpture at Texas Tech University. Currently, she is a full-time ceramist based in Pennsylvania. Previously, she worked as an art professor and taught ceramics at various universities, including Texas A&M International University, University of Brunei Darussalam, University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, Hong Kong Baptist University, and Mississippi University for Women. She participated in more than 120 art exhibitions including 19 solo exhibitions. Her artworks have been exhibited in venues such as Museum of Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts, Guangdong Museum of Art,ASEAN Culture House, San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, The Museum of Fine Arts, Kunstquartier Bethanien, Ottawa School of Art, Embassy of Republic of Turkey, Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park, Poh-Chang Academy of Arts, Pottery Workshop, Hong Kong Visual Arts Center, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and Chinese University of Hong Kong. Her ceramic work has been exhibited and collected in the United States, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, China, Japan, and Korea. Geiger-Ho has participated in several residencies and fellowships, including Taiwan Ceramics Residency Program, Shigaraki Ceramic Studio Artist Residency, Ottawa School of Art Residency, Women's Studio Workshop Residency, and University Fellowship.

Geiger-Ho participated in more than 90 regional and international art exhibitions including 16 solo exhibitions. Her artworks have been exhibited in venues such as Museum of Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts, Guangdong Museum of Art, San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, The Museum of Fine Arts (Santa Fe), Kunstquartier Bethanien, Manitoba Crafts Council Gallery, Hong Kong Visual Arts Center, Museum of Site, University of the Philippines Visayas, Poh-Chang Academy of Arts.
