This is a painting by Marshall Merritt (1904-1978) titled "Pacific Moonlight" and it is signed in the lower right. This piece also displays exhibition information on the back.
Merritt was an impressionist painter who specialized in oil renditions of the California coast. He had a studio in Willits, California and would spend four months every year painting landscapes and seascapes.
He was also a member of the Artist's Guild of America as well as the Los Gatos Art Association where he was also the vice president.
